FAQ

What conditions do you treat?

Our team cares for a wide range of neurological and pain-related conditions, including migraines, neuropathy, spine-related pain, nerve injuries, movement disorders, and chronic pain from a variety of causes. If your symptoms involve nerves, the brain, the spine, or long-lasting pain, there’s a good chance we can help.

Yes, our office does require a referral from any one of the doctors in your current care team to schedule an appointment.

We provide a full range of treatments, from minimally invasive injections and nerve blocks to advanced therapies such as radiofrequency ablation and spinal cord stimulation. Your care plan is always tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Your first appointment focuses on understanding your symptoms and your health history. We’ll talk through what you’re experiencing, perform an exam, review any previous tests, and discuss what the next steps might look like.

Diagnosis may include a physical exam, imaging, lab work, or specialized tests like EMG/NCV or EEG studies. We only order what’s truly necessary and explain each step so you know why it matters.

Yes. We prioritize evidence-based, non-opioid options whenever possible. Many patients benefit from targeted injections, nerve treatments, or other minimally invasive procedures that help reduce pain without relying on strong medications.

Many treatments are safely done right in our office. Some specialized procedures are performed at an outpatient surgery center, TOSC, for comfort and precision. We’ll let you know exactly where your procedure will take place.

Most visits last 20–40 minutes, depending on the complexity of your symptoms. Procedures vary but are typically quick, with minimal downtime afterward.

We work with most major insurance plans. If you want to double-check your coverage, you can call our team to review your plan and confirm your benefits.

Yes. When your insurance requires authorization for tests/treatments/medications, we handle that process for you and keep you updated along the way.

Refills should be requested through your pharmacy, which will contact us electronically. For controlled substances such as opioids, you will need to be seen on a monthly basis for refills. Please allow a 1-2 business days so we can review your chart and ensure everything is safe and appropriate.

If you notice new or worsening symptoms, call our office. If you experience severe or sudden symptoms—such as weakness, loss of vision, or difficulty speaking—seek emergency care immediately.

No, our office does not offer telehealth appointments at this time.

Absolutely. Any prior scans, reports, or notes help us understand your full medical picture. Bring digital copies if possible, or let us know where they were done and we can request them for you.

Follow-up timing varies by condition and treatment plan. Some patients come back every month, while others only need occasional check-ins. We customize the schedule to your needs.

Most procedures are low-risk and well-tolerated. You might experience temporary soreness or mild discomfort at the injection site. Your provider will explain potential risks before any treatment so you feel fully informed.

Some procedures require a driver, especially if sedation is used. Others allow you to drive yourself home. Before your appointment, we’ll let you know exactly what to expect.

At this time, we do not offer self-pay appointments. All visits must be billed through an active insurance plan. If you’re unsure about your coverage, our team can help you verify your benefits before scheduling.

Yes. Insurance plans require co-pays to be collected at the time of service. We accept several convenient payment options, and our front desk team can walk you through anything you need.

Life has excellent comedic timing, so delays happen. We offer a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you arrive after that window, we may need to reschedule to ensure every patient receives the time and attention they deserve.
